Patterson’s in the running for 2010

State House Dist. 29 Rep. Daniel Patterson

State Rep. Daniel Patterson has announced on his Web site that he’ll be running for reelection in 2010.

Folks interested in the Tucson Citizen archives going to the Arizona Historical Society will recall that Patterson, a freshman legislator from Tucson (representing Legislative District 29), joined the fight and his pressure resulted in representatives from Gannett Co., Inc. returning the e-mails/calls from the Arizona Historical Society, whom Gannett had been ignoring for months.

Things are still up in the air about the fate of the archives, but Patterson is keeping an eye on the issue and at least the AHS knows they have someone to call should Gannett return to the practice of not returning e-mails or phone calls.

  1. Patterson has been excellent.
Frankly I wonder how anyone can stand the job, going to Pheonix and sitting around while the Repub majority destroy the state – but you have to give them credit for trying.
